Sarah and Rebecca are old and live in a tumbledown cottage. The rain comes in and the walls are crumbling but the sisters were born here and have lived here all their lives and is "home'' to them. Rebecca, though blind, knows and loves every plant in the garden. The minister manages to get them in to a good Eventide Home and with difficulty they are persuaded to give it a trial. After a week of misery, in spite of genteel surroundings and company and every comfort, they "run away'' and come back to the old tumbledown cottage which seems verily a paradise to them. Good acting parts for six women with many touching moments but a good leavening of humour.
