Mrs. Bridie is an energetic old lady who is not quite so simple as she looks, who starts a tea-room for ladies only. Things do not go entirely smoothly, but Mrs. Bridie can always rise to the occasion. Those who know Mrs. Watson from Mrs. Watson's Window and Mrs. Watson at Bay should certainly make Mrs. Bridie's acquaintance. The play is full of laughs, and although there are no men in the cast there is no feeling that they have been deliberately excluded to suit an all-woman club.
