March of next year. A group of students in a Scottish university town exchange jokes and opinions about the modern world, but one of them, when he is left alone, plays a tune on an old penny whistle and welcomes a strange visitor.
The play mingles broad comedy and a delicate love story. Its first performance, by Aberdeen College of Education, won the Northern Divisional Final in 1969 and competed in the Scottish Final. It has since appeared again at the Northern and Eastern Divisional Festivals.
