When endearingly inept crook Robbie is suspected of arson, he turns to his solicitors for advice, only to discover they have been burgled. Innocent of both crimes, Robbie is too simple to wonder why the solicitor's secretary suggests he confess to the burglary as an alibi for arson. When his solicitor then tries to manipulate his confession for her own very different agenda, Robbie is left utterly bemused.
