Item details
Margaret, all set for a big wedding, is showing her presents. Two are not on view -- an antique teapot, which Margaret despises as being too small a gift -- and a Hong Kong vase, which she thinks is hideous. She sends the teapot to a cousin as a wedding present, unaware that inside it there are two five pound notes. She gives the vase to another friend who is getting married. This leads to many unpleasant complications and Margaret's snobbish notions get some severe jolts -- not a few of which are brought about by Granny and her friend, Mrs. McGhee -- two down-to-earth Scots bodies of the old school. This play provides good and varied acting parts for seven women and is a laugh from start to finish.
