Mrs. Sparry is removed from the ordinary type of stage charwoman. Her superstitious belief in the mottoes on the office calendar as " omens'' -- and irresistible habit of exaggeration -- involve her in amusing scenes. She emerges, wearing the typist's theatre coat.

There is a fine range of characters, and the dialogue is natural and witty.
