Set in Edinburgh at the present time, but could be anywhere, Jane leaves her husband, just when he needs his wife to be hostess to his visiting American Managing Director, Bob. Jane's friend Lorna turns up, and is persuaded to impersonate Jane. Complications and lots of laughs follow when Lorna's jealous husband, Jane's mother, and finally Jane herself all appear, but Bob is finally whisked on to his plane for the States, bemused but none the wiser. Played to packed houses at the 1985 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. One simple set throughout.
