A lady writer in search of a plot finds lodging at a farm, where she is unknown. A female patient, corresponding in age, dress and appearance to the lodger, escapes from a neighbouring mental hospital. The lodger, owing to her misinterpretations of certain Doric phrases, coupled with her continual " letter-writing'', is mistaken for the lunatic. Humorous situations and laughter throughout.
